How can I manually update my FTP?

I have been using the Edge 530 for about 3 weeks with "Auto Calculation of FTP" enabled. I got consistent and reliable readings of about 185 initially but on a ride last week it suddenly updated my FTP to 503 watts which is clearly wrong (ave power for that ride was 132 watts and max power was 539 watts). Unfortunately I can't find any way to manually adjust my FTP on the device, Garmin Connect app, or from my PC. I have deleted the ride from each of these places but my calculated FTP remains at 503. It also screws up my TSS since it thinks I should be working much harder now. Plan to call Garmin support but they are closed for the holiday.

To change your FTP on the Edge 530:

Menu --> My Stats --> Training Zones --> Power Zones

Adjust the FTP setting.

You can also adjust the FTP from the GC app:

Tap on the icon for your device --> User Settings --> Power Zones

Adjust the FTP accordingly.

Note: If you are having synchronization issue between the GC app and your Edge 530, this method may not be able to update the FTP on the Edge 530.

Team Ineos just called. They've been looking for someone with an FTP over 500.

What does it mean? I'm actually changing the FTP in the GC app (iOS) and after syncing - it's not visible in the device (Menu --> My Stats --> Training Zones --> Power Zones ).

Is that what you meant? Any hints how to fix (apart of manual update in the device)?

If the GC app - Edge 530 sync was successful, it should have updated the FTP in the Edge 530. Are you able to upload new rides to the GC app?
