Upcoming Climbs

Interesting....

Love the Climbs feature when I load a course.  It tells me when it starts, the AVG Grade and the length.  Even better, if I click on it, a clear grade profile appears. Brilliant!!

Now, fast forward to riding the course the 'Upcoming Climbs' page appears with a list of the aforementioned climbs, but crucially, no way to interact with it (move down/up or select to look at that lovely graph again).  Additionally, I think a bug exists in that, the first part of the climbs are obscured by the banner "upcoming climbs" along with total climb and total distance( I presume).  Selecting, just takes to menu where the usual array of additional items can be selected. Sadly, nothing to do with the climbs.

Can this be fixed, first and foremost.  Secondly, can the upcoming climbs feature be interactive as the climb page is prior to 'riding/starting' the course.

  • I was able to reproduce the problem and have provided the information to Garmin. They reported that they were able to reproduce it and it is fixed in the next release, but did not provide a date for that fix.

  • Superb!!! Thanks for all your help, Alan Pray

  • Well that's good to read. I had a ride containing 21 climbs in the Ardennes last weekend and whilst there is certainly room for imporovement in the ClimbPro feature, this was my biggest gripe, not being able to see the next upcoming climb, as I also always had the last few climbs in this list. Would be great to see it fixed, hopefully in time for my Transalp tour

Hopefully they resolve this as this was one of the main feature I bought this device over another device. Also it would be great if names could be added to the climbs instead of climb 1/2/3.
