Remote does not auto connect

Be sure to operate the Remote within a minute or so of turning on the Edge.  If you wait too long the Edge will stop looking for sensors.  (The Remote must be operated with a button push to send a signal for the Edge to find.  The Remote cannot be found until a button is pushed on it.)

Thanks, unfortunately, this does not work. Only after switching it off and on in settings connect.

Maybe try deleting the Remote from the list of Edge sensors and reconnecting as a new sensor.  I'm guessing here, but you never know.  Other than that, perhaps a full factory device reset, which is painful.  aweatherall perhaps has another suggestion?

Garmin sent me a new remote, same Issue, need to follow up on the ticket but kind of gave up...
Sometimes the Edge 130 plus also turns off, mid-cycling. Not a great experience overall...

I have exactly the same problem, Arnoud.  Did you get it sorted or is the issue still there?   

Unfortunately no...

I ended up returning it to the webshop where I bought it for repair, they gave me a full refund.
