Is it possible to get back to the main apps screen whilst you are mid ride? For example, I have started a ride, the screen hows the map. How do i get back to notifications or the weather app

Is it possible to get back to the main apps screen whilst you are mid ride?

The buttons on the right side scroll up and down through the screens. Short press is one screen at a time. If you long press lower button on the right side it will keep scrolling. If you long press the top right button takes you to the menu, so you can only short press the top right if you want to scroll screens.

To clarify I am looking for a way to return to the home screen and look at the widgets as seen here

Rather than just cycle through the rude data screens

Same answer, the widget screens are the last two data screens. The only thing you can't do (that I know of) is return to the home screen (which doesn't have much info besides connected sensors), but the widget screens appear the same as data screens if you cycle through during a ride.

I don't have the Edge in front of me right now, but if I recall correctly you need to have the Weather and Notifications widgets among your Data Pages. If you can't see them while scrolling through the pages, maybe it's because they are not there. You can re-add them from Ride Settings > Data Pages.
