Edge 130 Plus accuracy

Hi,

How do I improve the accuracy of the GPS on my Edge 130 Plus? I've had it for a few weeks now and I've notice that on rides I constantly get messages "Off Segment" so I do not get informed if I am ahead or behind my best time. Climbpro bombs out because I am off segment. When I view the ride on the Connect app or online the GPS track is way off line. Today I used my Venu as well to record the ride and the GPS trace can be seen below:

Basically the Edge 130 Plus is unusable at present.

What can I do to improve accuracy?

Are you using gps or gps and Galileo? I find that using just gps gives me much more accurate distance.

I use GPS + GLONASS on my venu, but in the track above I used GPS only on the EDGE 130+. I've also used GPS + GLONASS on the EDGE 130+ and it still gives bad results.

I need to check the GPS chipset used in both but I am surprised by the lack of accuracy in the EDGE unit. I need to try the GPS + Galileo on the EDGE to see how that performs.

Think I should probably contact Garmin support and see what they recommend.

That sounds like a good idea. My edge 130 plus has been fine. Ride this am and got similar gps results between edge 130, Suunto 9 and garmin sq.
