it would be nice if there were control over which apps can send notifications just like we have that control with watches.

You have it on Edge 530, I switch to it mainly for more control over notifications, but it has another drawback, you can't change or add new reply like on forerunner 245 for example.

I guess to have ability to customize answers you need to spend even more bucks and upgrade to 1030 at least
