Traffic alerts when riding a downloaded course

I’m connected to a Varia 510. I can’t get the traffic alerts when I am riding a course I have downloaded. Are traffic alerts disabled when riding a course?

So I unpaired my radar device and paired it again and was able to get the traffic alerts to work while riding a test course.. I'm sure there must have been something I was doing wrong the first time. …

No they should not be. Provided the unit is in communication with the radar it should not matter if you are following a course or not.

Thank you. My unit is new. I rode a 75 km course and did not receive any traffic alerts. Once I finished the course I continued riding without a course and immediately started receiving traffic alerts. I am wondering then if there is a setting to toggle alerts when riding download courses.

As a safety feature it should be on all the time. What software build is on the unit?

I rode with the same software builds as you have paired to an RTL515 while following a course and the radar alerts worked correctly.

Ok thank you. I will try another course and see what happens. If it doesn’t work sounds like there is a problem with my edge 130 plus.
