How to pair RTL510 as a light?

I have it paired as a radar but the Edge 130 Plus doesn’t recognize it as a light when I try adding it as a sensor. I would like to use the native Bike Lights > Battery Status datafield (assuming that would show the RTL510’s battery status?). Also, DCR mentioned that when paired as a light, the Edge 130 could automatically power on/off the RTL510.

I also have the same question, did you find out how to do this? I have Bontrager ANT+ lights. My 520 did support them. They are missing in action with the 130 plus.

I have exactly the same problem. Anyone got a suggestion? This is quiet a common issue.

When pairing the RTL are you putting the RTL in pairing mode first or are you just switching it on?

I don't have the edge 130, but I had the same issue on my FR735XT. This is what I did to make it work:

If you have the varia already paired as a radar, go to sensor settings and check the ANT+ id number for the radar. Then add a new light sensor, but instead of automatic search, input the ANT+ id number manually.
