Interesting response from Garmin Support Re: Battery life

My big hangup with the edge 130 that I owned was it only got a few hours of battery life during my cold winter commutes. So does this new Edge 130 Plus have a larger battery in it?

Here's the response I got back from Garmin Chat:

Stephen:Edge 130 plus battery life same as Edge 130?

Andrew:Hello, Stephen. One moment and I'll get you a comparison of the two.

Stephen:I understand that the literature states 12 hours however, when I would use my Edge 130 in cold mornings during commute I got much less actual hours - like 4-5. And that's with no sensors. Does the new edge 130 plus have a bigger battery in it?

Andrew:It doesn't unfortunately. I'll actually drain a little faster with the added features. It's only rated at 12 hours and the original was 15

Andrew:https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/catalog/product/compareResult.ep?compareProduct=596828&compareProduct=698436&

Stephen:So same battery size? So I'll probably only get 3-4 hours in the cold.

Andrew:Yeah, it's the same battery. That would be about right if you were getting 4-5 with the original one. The Plus uses more battery life with the added features.
