Voice Prompts not working

Navigation Voice prompts stopped working several software versions ago.  There was a thread which talked about fixing this by deleting  prompt files and syncing the device.  I have tried that many times, however nothing fixes the problem.  I am up to date on all software.  Are others having this problem?  Any suggestions?  What I have been doing to get arround this is using Ride with GPS on my phone ( which will give me voice prompts) as well as navigating with the 1050 ( which gives me the screen information).  Kind of crazy, but the only "fix" I have found.

  • The Edge 1050 has an extremely slow processor and little RAM. If you have several Connect IQ apps installed, the Edge 1050 will be overwhelmed and will stop providing voice prompts. The Komoot app, in particular, causes this problem on my Edge 1050. Uninstall all apps you don't absolutely need and restart the device.
