Hello all.
I bought this 1050 device 3 months ago now. It was supposed to be used only once , but i found out on the hard way it was 8 months old , 11 months now.
The device seemed to work fine until i tried to use a GPX file with my local CC for voice guidance and it failed.
The device also is not showing all the data of the Assioma power pedals i have .
This took probably around 3 weeks to find out , as i am a busy person.
I have tried to fix the issue my self with the help of this forum's users and i found someone with the same issue fixed, but unfortunately not in my case.
Around a month ago, i reached Garmin support for helping me with the voice prompts issue and the experience wasn't great as i had experienced previously .
Questions and demand for proof of ownership is not something i was looking for, especially when my previous 1040 was stolen and Garmin can't provide any help finding a 500£ device.
And even after providing all the evidence and did all they asked me software wise ,this device is not working as it should.
I was aslo denied an return, even though this device is under warranty, because this is not a hardware issue but software, one said !
I have left with less than a month of warranty and the support has ghosted me as they haven't replied for 10 days now and it feels they are waiting for the warranty to expire.
I am not sure what is happening with the support, if it is the 2 individuals that feel not to help a customer or if it is Garmin's policy. I hope it is the first as the second would imply the device is still underdeveloped and customers are still the testers ?
This device is updated to latest firmware , twice in the last 3 months, i have updated the maps as well and is still stubbornly not cooperative , i would say like the support so far.
I asked the question on the support and i will ask it again here .
Why i can't return this device if it is not functioning as it should?
