Following the latest update 29.22 to my 1050 it has lost its tracking accuracy.
- Speed has moments - am riding along at about 15 mph and then it will suddenly say i am travelling much faster eg 77mph on one occasion. on a 15 mile ride i hove noticed happen between 1 and 3 times.
- tracking accuracy 1, when i review the ride (along a tarmac road) it will show a spike of to the left or right of several 100m from the actual road ridden, usually to a point in a field that is not even accessible this happened while riding in Lanzarote and now back in the UK
- tracking accuracy 2. when paused it still moving apparently, stopped at a café for an hour and then rode home, the ride was recorded as 2 miles longer than expected/actually is. On review of the ride the tracking at the café looks like spaghetti and one of the spikes was at least a quarter of a mile.
- Today to test it i have placed it by the window and it has recorded half a mile while not moving, in comparison I placed my old edge touring alongside software 4.2 and it has not recorded any movement. Stayed in auto pause.
- The 1050 was in auto pause but it kept going bleeping and said it was moving then going back into auto pause.
So can someone please explain to me what is going on as the 1050 was not doing this prior to the update, and the fact the edge touring is not exhibiting these issues suggests it is not a problem with the satellites.
If the forum cannot explain/resolve this issue how do I address it with Garmin as currently I consider it faulty and under guarantee to be replaced/refunded
