FTP auto detection

I am using smart trainer (Wahoo Core) and HR strap, FTP auto detection is enabled, but FTP is not calculated automatically. Any ideas why? FTP was calculated last time when Power meter was used.

    You mean you didnt get any FTP feedback after the ride? that is normal, if it doesnt sense any change in the previous FTP value (or it sensed but it will wait one more data from next workout), probably there will be a FTP decreased value after the next indoor ride .

    Yes, FTP did not change and it states it's calculated based on old workout (when I used Fenix watch). Seems that Edge expects direct Power meter, not the one that is present in Smart trainer. As when I tried to enable FTP auto detection - it waited for power meter sensor, othwerwise it did not allow me to enable FTP auto dettection, only when I connectd power meter from the crank.

    then it is a bug if there is no power meter paired only smart trainer in the training menu and the FTP calculation couldnt be enabled. honestly i never tried it with x40 (or x30 series) but in normal case it should work this way also

    pls report it in the beta section as bug report.

    Yeah, for me also seems like a bug. Haven't had such issue with 1040.

    If you unpair your trainer from the Edge and pair it as a power meter are you able to enable Auto FTP Detection?

    It tries to pair for around a minute and fails. It can be connected only as a smart trainer. I've enabled FTP autodetection using crank power meter. Unfortunately FTP auto detection does not give any feedback after workout is finished (using smart trainer).
