Ant+ Edge 1050 and Assioma Duo

I just purchased the 1050 about 6 weeks ago and also have a Garmin Epix gen2. I connect to my assioma duo pedals and on the edge device it randomly disconnects and reconnects. No issues on the watch. Also why does it force connection via Bluetooth when Ant+ is far superior and I can’t even see how to connect using ant+. I have used cheaper computers that simply work so why did I purchase the most expensive bike computer on the planet only for it to not work properly

  • I've connected my DUO pedals via ANT+ without any issues or disconnections.
Garmin gives you both connection options when you add the sensor; discard Bluetooth and choose the ANT+ connection.
I would disconnect them and add the sensor from the beginning; you shouldn't have any problems.

  • How do you select ant+ as I see no option to choose

  • When you add the sensor from the beginning, you'll see two options with different names. The ANT+ option has an ID number, and the Bluetooth option has the name Favero with other numbers and letters after it. This is the way to differentiate them.
I suppose if you currently have the Bluetooth option enabled, click on "Add sensor," search all, and the ANT+ option should appear.
You could also delete the Bluetooth option you have now, click on "Add sensor," search all, and both options should appear. Connect the one with the ID number.

  • That’s how it is with my wahoo device but the 1050 is only connecting with an open channel via BT. Very odd

  • By default it will try and pair over BLE, you need to decline the BLE pairing and it will then pair over ANT.

  • It's weird because you should have both options, at least that's what happens to me.
In the photos, you can see the ANT+ option, and if I click on "Search for Sensor," the Bluetooth option appears (This is the case of my pro MX pedals on the gravel bike, on duo pedals it would be the same)

  • Thanks for your help. I have it working now but it looks l;like it was the ANT+ experiencing the dropouts. Will check next ride. Cheers
