Easy route overview feature

I would like an easy way to zoom out on a route so I can see where I am without using the +/- . My problem with doing it manually is it is multiple touchscreen touches to get all the way zoomed out and then multiple touches to get back in. Eyes off the road and hands off the bars

If I'm doing a loop, and the wind is brutal, I want to touch a route overview that zooms out to show me my route and where I am on it so I know how much more effort before the tailwind.

Like the feature on the elevation elevation screen

Any thoughts?

I don't know if this works on the 1050, but it does on the 1030. If you go your courses & select the one you're navigating you should be able to show the map of the course, which should show your position on the course. Takes a few touches in itself but may be less than you are currently doing. Takes 5 of 6 taps on my 1030 but there may be a shorter way to do it on the 1050

The map page does support a pinch zoom. Not sure if that helps

Ooo yes of course that should work too. I've avoided using that on my 1030 as if I'm navigating & zoom out too far, the map screen never updates & I'm just left with a lot of blank space, even if I reduce the detail level to the minimum. The same happens if I try to pan or zoom out with the screen buttons. I've never been able to work out why. If I'm not navigating it updates no problem.

Things might be better on the 1050, with it having a bit more oomph it the processor department
