Function from 28.20 disappeared in 28.33?

In the 28.20 there was the option to simulate activities at home in the "Hidden Menu". This made it easy to try out different settings without it being annoying while driving.

A dream function, worth its weight in gold! Especially many functions are, in my opinion, inadequately or incomprehensibly documented. This made it very easy to understand the device’s functions.

Now in 28.33 the function has disappeared Rolling eyes.  @Garmin ... Please bring the function back PrayPrayPray!!!

    What is the "hidden menu" you are talking about about? I know only one, which has menu items "Simulate Key press",  "GPS Simulator", "Screen Recording"... The menu I am talking about is invoked by pressing and holding the corner of the scree below the bell "button"

    That's exactly what I mean, it's still there. However, in version 28.20 there was the new option to simulate a ride, which unfortunately has disappeared in version 28.33 Disappointed relieved. It was possibly simply select a recorded activity or track as the source for the simulation. This allowed to calmly try out, test, and adjust all the settings at home.

    OKay, so you need to do the following:

    1) open the "hidden" menu

    2) open menu item "GPS Simulator", then enable it

    3) select a course or navigate to a saved location

    4) press "Ride"

    5) the unit will calculate the route

    6) the unit will show a panel at the bottom "Simulate driving this route?"

    7) press "√"

    8) enjoy

    I'm familiar with that, but I've never managed to get it working satisfactorily. In the additional "activity simulation" feature in 28.20, users could simply select a recorded ride, scroll through the timeline using a slider, adjust the playback speed, and pause/resume the playback.

    I think this is BETA firmware only feature, I remember seening this UI when I was running beta releases. Maybe this will be available again when the next beta is posted.
