Firmware 28.20 do not work, stay away from it

I have had the firmaware 28.20 now for a while and it seem that you newer know when it start to run the diagnostics, it might the fine for while and suddenly starts to do shutdown saying that it collects diagnostics over and over again and as suddenly it might work fine for some time.

As it works like that it cannot be some file or map causing the problem, it is something wrong with the firmware itself.

Also eventhought it collects "the diagnostic data" it is not telling anything what is wrong.

This is really shame as the previous version worked really well and this version has not bring any clear benefits.

Hopefully Garmin sorts this out soon as at the moment I cannot use the device at all (as in many other topics, if you loose the trust it is really diffucult to get back), and as a result of this I am at the moment reviewing other potetial bike computers outside of Garmin.

    I can confirm this issue. I rode 345 km this weekend, and after 210 km the device got stuck in an endless loop of collecting diagnostic data, showing a dimmed screen, and rebooting. This went on for 4 hours straight with no way to recover it. I had to switch to Google Maps on my phone just to finish the ride and keep up motivation. After 4 hours the device suddenly stopped the cycle and worked again, but by then it was too late—the 100 km segment was lost. This is incredibly frustrating, especially after 8 hours of riding when you’re already exhausted.

    The most unfortunate thing is that Garmin have not took any actions related to the several messages here raising the same topic that this Firmware version do not really work (you cannot use as you newer know when it will broke down) .
