Mid ride pause leads to sensors not loading

When I stop at a coffee shop mid ride, I typically pause the activity and press the power button to sleep the unit. This way, an inadvertent touch of the screen will not save the ride mid ride.

This worked great with my old 830, but the 1050 drops all sensors (including radar) and trying to manually connect them fails. In addition, searching for sensors to add them again shows no sensors. Stopping and saving the ride, then starting a new ride does not fix the problem, so far I have had to power down the 1050 and then start it back up again.

Obviously, this is an annoying bug. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Is there a way to register this as a bug?

FWIW, I have auto start and auto pause turned off.

Edit: Just found more posts, this is happening to others. I'll try doing a hard restart without ending the ride next.

Power it off and turn it back on. You will not lose your ride and the sensors will reconnect.

this is not true for some IQ data fields, e.g. maxGrade and so on

Yes, same happening to me. It was ok until a few weeks ago but now, every time I pause my ride and put the unit into standby, it does not reconnect to sensors when I start it again. I have to power the unit off and then turn it back on again before the sensors reconnect.

Yes same here it was almost fixed just Varia RCT715 light wouldn’t reconnect radar and everything else connected ok but since 28.20 nothing reconnects have to power off then everything connects.
