Cannot connect to my notebook after continue reboot Edge 1050

I have a problem with my Edge 1050.
Suddenly it kept booting.
The only way I could get it working again I did a factory reset and restored everything via my Iphone.

But after that I cannot connect the Garmin to my notebook and the battery says constantly it's 100% with an estimated time of less then 60 minutes.....

So I'm not sure if it's charching when attached to notebook, or poweradapter,

When I try to do a soft reset by pressing the lap button and connect it to my notebook I can see the drive in the edge.

When Garmin is off and I connect it to my notebook it's starting and stays in main screen to navigate. It's not rebooting again with the charching logo and appearing as a drive.
When I attach the Garmin to a poweradapter it also booting and stays on navigation screen.

Anyone knows what is wrong, or do I oversee somewhere an option I have to switch on/off ?

  • Update: After connecting Garmin (Netherlands) they found in their knowledge database a case with a boot loop and not appearing as a drive in my windows notebook.

They want so e extra info and swap my Edge 1050.

After the phonecall I decided to do a ride on my bike, turned the Edge 1050 on and the battery percentage was 5 %. After half an hour it went in battery energy saver mode (or whatever name it is). I stopped rthe ride and saved it. Continued the ride with my Fenix 7S.

At home I attached the Edge 1050 to my notebook and surprise, surprise: It shows the charching logo in the battery and the Edge rebooted in the FTM-mode.

    So it works OK now,

  • I would sync it a few times and see what happens. I have a similar problem; every time I sync the Edge on my Windows 11 PC, I end up going through the same boot loop/reset process. This has been, by far, the most problematic Garmin Edge I have ever owned.
