I have a custom activity profile that seems to not be accurately referencing my set hear rate zones.

That is very little information, is there somthing wrong with your HRM-sensor? An average of 173 and a max of 883 is incorrect (if you are are from Earth) the device automatically calculates the heart rate zones based on your heart rate (as far as I know)
Fair enough. Looking at the second field, the graph for heart rate zones is not accurate and does not reflect my heart rate zone settings. At 163 the graph should show zone 3(green) .The numbers in the fifth field are accurate and are not related to the HR or this query.
Easy enough mistake. As for the zones. They're all correct and even more weird this is the on chart/graph that doesn't work right. Other types of fields on different pages assigned to HR Zones seem to be fine. This one happens to be the easiest to consume at a glance.
You’re not the only one with that issue. See here: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-1050/407322/hr-zone-bar-field-not-correct
I have stopped using that data field and use HR Graph instead. The colors of the graph are correct wrt my zones
