samsung s25 plus phone music not being controlled by Edge 1050

Hi - I just got a new samsung s25 plus phone and my google music can not be controlled by the Edge 1050, 840, or my new Forerunner 970. I think its something with the phone as this was working fine on my old samsung s22 plus phone. Is there a setting somewhere on the garmin app or somewhere else on the phone? I tried Amazon music and it does not work either. The phone volume does work though when controlling it from the Edge or my watch. Its weird in that the music song/title will show for a split second on the garmin device but then goes away. 

Any suggestions?

    I cannot help you, i am using a s24 ultra and the 1050 and an epix2 , i change the music regulary without problems. Weird indeed.

    Rush!  Great band! Saw them 4 times in concert.  So, I had this a similar issue with my Pixel 9XL where the music controls or song title would NOT show on my Edge 1050 but I could control the volume.  In another post, I found a solution that worked for me.  On the Edge 1050, System settings, widgets, delete the Music widget and add it again.  This fixed my issue.. It's worth a try.

    thanks- i tried the deleting and a few other things. Its so strange that it shows the connection then disappears. I think its something with the phone. If someone else has a newer samsung phone that would be good to know if this is a problem w/ the phone or not-

    • I didnt know you can do that. haven't seen music control on the edge. where is that setting hiding?
