Edge 1050 map download never ending, bug?

Hello All,

this is silly. But after the announcement of new maps for the Edge 1050, I started downloading via Wifi and during many hours it lazily increased in percentages. Anyways, after about 24h it stopped at 95% showing "2:58h expected time" and nothing moved since.

So, since two weeks, the Edge 1050 shows  "2:58h expected time" without any change – and I'm not getting the maps update :-((

I contacted Garmin support, and some Jake or Itoro told me that --> "Garmin Express not Working for Updates and Downloads" would provide the solution. Irritating enough, but the link tells me information about the Garmin Express software to be hanging, not the Edge 1050 itself. I wrote and asked several times again, but with no further answers from Garmin.

I managed to start the download again in the meantime, but with the same result. I restarted the Edge, I checked my Wifi, I tried to download via Garmin Express, nothing helped. Garmin Express told me that the maps update is going through – but after restart, the new maps aren't on the Edge and the status remains the same. If I try to restart the update on the Edge itself there is a message such as "A download is currently active". Obviously correct, but not helpful in this case.

So, probably anyone did solve the problem?

My Edge 1050 since 2 weeks shows the following status:

Edge 1050

Best regards,

Kai
