Tip for threading the tether on the Edge 1050

Recently got an Edge 1050 and was getting very frustrated because it seemed impossible to thread the included tether onto to the Edge. I tried pushing it through to no avail and also using a paper clip and then a pin (after coming across this thread - https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-1050/400419/how-to-install-the-tether-on-the-edge-1050), neither of which worked for me.

What did work for me: I looked for something much thinner than the tether that could more easily thread through the hold on the Edge. In my case, I just used some dental floss. I imagine strong thread or fishing line would also work. I threaded one end through the hold on the Edge (which was quite easy), put it through the loop on the tether, then threaded that same end back through the hold on the Edge, basically creating a loop through the hold that could be used to pull the tether through. One pull and Bob was my uncle.

Thought I'd post here as I didn't see anything similar and thought I might save some folks a bit of time and aggravation.
