Will the Edge 1050 be updated with the Edge MTB features?

I literally just bought an Edge 1050 when it went on sale, and I only ride MTB. I bought it mainly because it comes with Trail Forks. Will the 1050 firmware be updated to match the features introduced by the Edge MTB for MTB rides? I like the Forksight screens they show, and the ride summary that shows trail difficulty.

Forksight when enabled only pops up if you stop.

The 1050 has the required hardware to support 5Hz.

I saw DC Rainmaker.com and Singletracks.com both say the 1050 will get an update this summer (or fall). So now the question is WHEN will the 1050 be updated. Also, will we see 5hz data recording, or does the Edge MTB has updated GPS sensors to handle this?

Also, does anyone know if Forksights only works when not riding a course? What I've read is the Edge MTB has updated Forksights features, but I've never seen this feature work on my E1050, but I'm typically riding a planned route/course. Otherwise, I don't need to stop and look.

Garmin has not announced an Edge 550, but the Edge MTB has a 240 x320 as you reported above.

How do I enable Forksight? Does it pop up, even if you're riding a preloaded course/route?

Forksight is an option that only shows when using an MTB (off road cycling profile) based sports profile.

Go to Menu -> Activity Profile -> Name of profile to edit -> MTB/CX -> ForkSight

Yep, it's on. I've just never seen this pop up. I'll have to try again this week. Maybe somewhere with more trails and busier intersections.
