13.14 – No Alerts From Varia RTL515

Setup

  • Edge 1050, firmware 13.14

  • Varia RTL515

Problems

  1. No radar alerts

    • RTL515 pairs and shows radar icon, can control lights, but the radar strip and beeps never appear while riding.

    • Re-pair, power-cycle and full factory reset did not help. RTL515 works fine on Edge 840.

  2. FIT file corruption after reboot

    • I paused an activity, powered the Edge off, then restarted it and resumed the ride.

    • Saved file shows only the data recorded after the reboot; the first ~20 km are missing, though total distance is still correct.
