Missing Maps?

I recently purchased my Edge 1050, and I cannot seem to load many of the maps. All the ones for Asia appear, but none of the ones for Europe or North America show up as available to download to my device. Is there an easy way to fix this? I'm heading to Italy and the US this summer for cycling trips, and I'd like to have the maps installed before I go. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

You should be able to download maps for other regions than the ones pre-installed on the device. If the on device map manager does offer regions, you could try on a computer with Garmin Express.

That’s the problem. The regions and maps I want do not show up in Map Manager or in Garmin Express. My 840 shows every region and map available. The 1050 does not.
