Multiple Reboots on Startup FW 13.13

Upgraded to 13.13.  1050 is connected to computer via USB cable.  Unmount 1050, disconnect cable and it begins to boot up.  It gets to the "Loading courses, workouts and locations" screen, fades out, and restarts the boot sequence about a half dozen times before it finally boots up correctly. If it's powered off and I connect it to the computer via USB it boots and connects normally.  I've attached a list of maps loaded on the 1050 since that seems to be an issue with 13.13.

  • Today the 1050 crashed and rebooted 24 times before it finally started.

  • I managed (I think) to fix mine. I booted the Garmin into USB MTP while connected to my Windows PC. I deleted all my saved segments and then disconnected, and so far, the Edge has been booting normally. I did this while having it connected to the PC and pressing and holding the Power and Start buttons until USB MTP appeared on the display and I heard Windows mount the drive.

If you can get your device into USB mode, you may want to try to remove any files carefully with a modification date/time stamp for when your problem started. I'm not a Garmin file system expert, so maybe another more knowledgeable person on the forum can provide better insight into which files are safe to delete. I noticed that the only file that had been updated since my last working sync was a segment I rode. So I was working on the assumption that something in that folder was corrupted.
