Garmin 1050 speed

Hello,

I have a Garmin 1050 with a Pinarello electric bike.

When I connect the Pinarello bike sensors, the Garmin displays the bike's speed, but since my bike has a chip that halves the speed to unlock it, the displayed speed is also halved.

How can I choose to display the GPS speed instead of the bike's?

    I assume that you have connected your ebike as an “ebike” sensor. Then unfortunately you cannot force the speed to be read from the GPS.

    What I can imagine is the use of an ANT+ hub speed sensor. Maybe this sensor overrides the ebike speed. But I don't know.

    If your Pinarello is compatible with ANT+ regulations, you can try my ebike Datafield “Edge 1 Ebike”. You need to disconnect your ebike from the sensor section!

    You will then get the speed from the GPS.
