Transfer previous device settings

I'm planning on getting a 1050 to replace my old 1030 Plus. Is there a way to transfer settings so that I don't have to configure all my profiles, screens, etc. all over again? This has become very easy now on smartphones; is it the same for Garmin devices?

I upgraded from a 1040 to a 1050 and the process took me through steps that transferred everything, via the Garmin Connect app. IIRC, when you start up a new 1050 device it walks you through it all. When…

I upgraded from a 1040 to a 1050 and the process took me through steps that transferred everything, via the Garmin Connect app. IIRC, when you start up a new 1050 device it walks you through it all. When it was done my 1050 was good to go. I think it even transferred all my sensors too.

Much better than in the old days when you had to set everything up from scratch upgrading from one to another.

Thanks. Now that I think about it, I recall that most of my settings from my Edge 1000 transferred to the 1030+.
