Hi, I can't see the maps well. The screen is very dark even though the brightness is at maximum. Especially on darker days. I have the feeling that with the latest updates it's getting worse.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Oh God, I hope this isn't true. The #1 reason I want to upgrade from 1040 is for a brighter screen. It's laughable how dark these things are in direct sunlight.

on dark days it should be blindingly bright. Make SURE you don't have auto brightness enabled. If it's off, turn it on and then off again.

I can‘t recommend this. There is a bug that auto brightness doesnt work during start up from standby mode in darkness of very low light conditions. In such case you need to deactivate and activate auto brightness to make it work.

Generally, auto brightness works exzellent in all light conditions.
