Altimeter auto calibration problem

The auto-calibration on the Edge1050 works well and imho it's a big improvement.

However it only auto-calibrates when switching the device on after a power-down.

The alitmeter is not automatically calibrated when 'waking up' from 'sleep'.

IMHO this is a defect, auto calibration should also be invoked when the device wakes up from sleep state.

If set to auto-cal it is supposed to calibrate at the GPS starting point of your activity.

That sounds great, but what does "GPS starting point" actually mean? Is that when you turn the device on? Is that when you start recording an activity? Based on my experience it looks it is the latter (power on of device).

No, when I start an activity, the altimeter calibrates, which is confirmed by a pop up message.
