Firmware 12.16: How do I disable daily workout suggestion on my home screen?

On my edge 1050, I disabled the daily workout suggestion on my homescreen.

Now, after the update to 12.16 the daily workout suggestion appeared again on my homescreen. Going to trainings - daily training suggestion, the option to show the suggestion is already disabled, but this apparently has no effect. Enabling and disabling the toggle has no effect either.

I am afraid, that Garmin added this new bug with firmware 12.16, which I find quite rediculous. Testing is not sufficient at all.

I don’t want the daily workout suggestion on my homescreen and the last ride or new course again. I hope this will be fixed very shortly.

Also auto brightness still doesn‘t work when starting the device from sleep mode.

  • Same here, 1050  running 12.16. I have the "daily training workout"  toggled off, "show on home screen". Yet, on the homescreen under the activity profile, it still says "Daily suggested workout" and underneath that says "Start an adaptive training plan from Garmin Connect to get daily suggested workouts". Is there a way to remove this?

  • I'm not getting a suggested workout.  When I go into training, "Daily Suggested Workout" says "Paused".  When I touch the arrow on the right, I see "Resume training status?" with as "X" and a check mark beneath.  If I touch the check mark, I'm back in the training mode.  If I touch the three vertical dots, "Pause Training" is second on the screen.  If I enable that, I'm asked to verify my choice, and then I'm back to being "paused".

See if that works for you!
