Battery drained after three days being turned off

Hello, I just wanted to start cycling but my unit did not turn on anymore. I put it on the charger and no it tuned on, apparently the battery is dead, even though I charged it three days ago, went cycling for two hours and then shut the unit down, even in standby it should not be dead that fast. Should I just return it?

After 13 Minutes on my samsung fast charge adapter it got really warm and reports that it did charge 50% which is odd to me, as it doesn't have fast charge if I remember correctly. Even weirder, it now refuses that adapter and will only charge on my powerbank, the reported temperature is 37°C.

Before I charged it three days ago, I didn't charge it for weeks and it didn't loose charge during that time at all. I will hopefully head out with it later and see if it looses more charge then usual during the ride.

I'm becoming quite frustrated with this thing.

  • Did you give it a full “soak charge” for 8+ hours out of the box. That is good practice for any Li-Ion battery

  • My Unit is like 4 Months old, that was the fourth time it got a full charge, had no issues like that before.

  • I've run into that a couple of times.  At first I thought I had just forgotten to shut it down, but the last time, I happened to look at it a day after having shut it down and it was still showing the circle with a vertical line indicating it was shutting down.  I now make sure it has gone away after shutting it down. It only takes a few seconds, so NBD. Still, it shouldn't hang like that after shutting down.

  • I never saw a circle with a line while shutting down, the display is just black, is there a button to press to see if it did shut down completely?
