Garmin 1050 pauses when cycling uphill with Garmin speedsensor

Hi

I have the new Garmin edge 1050 and when cycling uphil at 14km/h is suddenly paused when using auto pause.  This issue is let when I set the minimum speed.  But still occurs. I use it combined with a Garmin speedsensor. Is should not be possible or something is wrong with the speed sensor. Both are brand new.

  • What minimum speed did you set to auto pause your ride?

  • Auto pause has no useful purpose and should be turned off. Boom all autopause problems are over. This goes for 100% of problems related to auto pause, sleep, etc.

  • I've had issues relying on GPS when using auto-pause.  What I find works reliably is to use a speed sensor, ensure it's paired and working (spin the wheel and a speed should show on the Garmin) and manually set an auto pause speed of 6 or 8 kph.  I do not use "When stopped."   Personally, I only use auto-pause on the road bike, not on gravel or mtb.
