1050 Daily suggested workout FTP values are way too high

I'm trying to use Daily suggested workout feature on Edge 1050 and I've noticed that it's not taking my fitness into account.

I'm a beginner with true FTP (absolute max amount of watts I can put out for 60 minutes continuously) around 185W. I've tested this in practice, correcting 198W number from Zwift 20 minutes test over a couple of rides.

I have over half a year and 5k km of recorded data on Connect including 3 months and nearly 2k km worth of my indoor trainer setup (Stages SB20 indoor bike with power, cadence speed and heart rate). On top of that for past 3 weeks I'm wearing Instinct 2x 24/7. I'd say that's enough historical data to get good idea of my performance.

Garmin connect power curve inferred this correctly. When you view the power curve in workout editor it shows reasonable 177W 1 hour and 201W 20 minute power. So unless I'm very mistaken my Threshold zone (Z5) should be 95-105% FTP or 181-194W. Garmin Connect workout builder shows it close enough: 169-189W.

However when Edge prescribed me Threshold workout it was 3 intervals of 6 minutes 240w + 4 minutes 185W.

I very much doubt I'd be able to hold 240w for more than a minute, let alone for 18. And I'm supposed to do 3 such workouts in a week divided by 'base' days of 135w (this is borderline tempo for me), 160w (high end of tempo), 180w (threshold) for 1-2h each (the harder day the longer ride, lol).

If I try to input this 240w threshold workout into Connect I get a warning that's very likely too much for me and I should consider a lighter load instead. So my data are there somewhere and some Connect features are able to use them but not others.

I've checked my Instinct 2x which also has DSW and threshold days it prescribed 2 intervals of 240w for 15 minutes divided by 5 minutes of 185w 'rests'. This is clearly way out of reach at my current level. Let's skip for now that DSW looks different on Edge and Instinct. Threshold value of 240w and base 135, 165, 180w are consistent and way too high.

Values DSW is using are clearly not correct. Is there a way to recalibrate daily workouts to take my real fitness into account? Or is it yet another Garmin feature that looks nice on paper but is broken?
