Frequent disconnects from assioma power meter

While riding outside I frequently, maybe 3 -6 times in an hour, loose connection between my edge 1050 and my favera assioma power pedals. Both are updates to latest firm ware and I've tried disconnected reconnected without success.

  • I use both Favero Assioma Duo and Favero Assioma MX Pro 2 with my Edge 1050 and have no issues with sensor disconnections.

The only time I lose connection is when the 1050 crashes, which happens more often than it should. You might try removing and re-pairing the pedals as new sensors or even resetting the Edge, but given its quirks, there’s no guarantee it will solve the issue.

  • I used to get occasional disconnections between my 1050 and Assioma pedals until I realised it was connecting over BLE.  I never have problems when using Ant+.

  • Interesting, I keep getting disconnects (on a 1040) and I'll have to check what protocol it's connected over.

  • Same happens to me on my 1040 solar.  If I look at the sensor status, it shows connected, but no data from my pwoermeter or cadence displays on my screen.  While riding, I have have to open the sensor and toggle the enable/disable switch and then reconnect.

  • Ah mine will reconnect by itself after 10s or so. Just says 0W in the meantime.

  • Just did a long ride today with a bike I haven´t used in month, where the Assiomas MX Pro 2 are installed. Very strange: works for a few minutes, then shows 0 for power and rpm for a few minutes then everything starts new. That happened regularly over hours, I can see it when looking at the data from the ride.

    - The pedals worked without problems with the Edge 830

    - I noticed I was connected using BLE, but it did not show the pedals to connect over ANT+ (I tried to reconnect)
