Strava Live Segments - Old View?

Hello guys,

Some years ago I had an Edge 1000 and I'm sure the Strava Live Segment display used to be quite clear and concise; something along the lines of "GO" and then a clear dialogue box at the bottom of the screen with your time ahead or behind - easy!

Now I have an Edge 1050 and, to be honest, I can't make head nor tail of the Live Segment display - numbers and lines everywhere, all too small to read whilst on the move. Also, I thought tapping on the "KOM" icon towards the top right scrolled through some options (e.g. your own PR), but it's almost impossible to tap a vibrating screen so accurately whilst on the move.

Am I missing something? I long for that old view! The "old view", which is still live on the Strava Live Segment page for Garmin, can be seen here:

Thanks,

Mark

  • I guess nobody remembers the good old simplified live segment view!

Sticking with the current display, how do I select my PR rather than the (unachievable) default KOM? There's an arrow next to the KOM time on the RHS of the screen, but touching it only brings up an option to stop the segment.

In fact, to quote the Garmin "racing a segment" instruction page "If necessary, use the arrows to change your goal during your race."
