PLEASE allow Widgets in Pulldown again!

Please, please, please re-enable ConnectIQ widgets in the pulldown menu. The AccuWeather Minutecast is invaluable and I check it multiple times during a ride, especially if there is rain in the area. The Garmin weather widget just doesn't come close to replacing it. This is making me consider going back to my 830, even with the screen improvements.

Could be that I don’t understand your request. I have a 1050 if I pull down the Widgets appear in a line at the bottom of the screen which scrolls and the weather is there. If I remember correctly the order of widgets is changeable.

Could you explain exactly how to do that, re-enable ConnectIQ widgets in the pulldown? I can see Minutecast but can't get it to show in the pulldown. I see all the 'normal' stuff scrolling sideways, but Minutecast, no. To be clear, I can go to Menu, ConnectIQ, Minutecast, and it's there and works, but I don't know how to get it to show in widget side scroll rotation.

Diligently followed the link. Where does that show me that I can "re-enable" ConnectIQ widgets? The built in widgets show up there, and swiping down from a data screen shows those and I can rotate thru them, but I cannot get the AccuWeather MinuteCast widget to show up nor can I see it in the rotation, nor can I see where to re-enable widgets to make the MinuteCast widget show in the rotation? Go install the MinuteCast widget on your device, and let me know how to get it to show up, pretty simple, that's all I want to know!! I have R'd The F M and I can't figger it out.

There is no MinuteCast widget to add. I see nowhere THERE, either, to re-enable widgets.

I'm beginning to think, well, really, I've thought this since I GOT the 1050, that that particular widget just does NOT work on a 1050.

My posting was just to make clear, that the opening poster wes-m had asked for IQ widgets, and the answer of @Rogis referred to built in widgets.

I‘m not an expert, but what I have read:
Since IQ SDK 4 widgets became „super apps“ on newer devices and cannot be shown in the widget loop anymore. Only new devices with a „glance view“ can show up - but I think, this applies only to modern watches.

The Edge 1050 does have Glance, but, alas, Accuweather Minutcast does not show there, nor can it be added, so I guess going to Menu, Connect IQ and selecting Minutecast is the ONLY way to see it. A pain while riding for sure!!

maybe check out something other than accuweather and see if it fits the bill

Yup, got all those! None really compare to MinuteCast, but, alas, I guess we just have to muddle thru!!
