They are busy working on the release of the EDGE 850 and EDGE 550 devices ;)

It is helpful. They're not going to change a device from an MTP device to mass storage. This has been gone over and over in the forum since the day it was released

I have been hoping to use OpenMTP (which enables access to the 1050 file system) since MacDroid is payware and I don't want to pay. The Github project for OpenMTP has an open issue that says the patch to make it work should be in the next firmware (11.x?). See: https://github.com/ganeshrvel/openmtp/issues/389

1040 had its 2 years as the "flagship" before it got shunted off to "Previous Models" so the 1050 still has about 20 months left. While nothing is as "usual" any more there has been a longer than "usual" gap between the last release and the start of the next beta, "usually" only a week or two, watches only a week but currently a month, guess they are plotting a big surprise and this will be the release that solves everything and fulfils everyone's dreams? Or maybe it will be the release after next? Can't wait!

I use "Android File Transfer" for access to the 1050 file system. It is free and works perfectly on my Apple Silicon.

Do you have a working link to a download for this. It's doesn't appear to be available anymore from Google for macOS. Just for Windows.
