Backlighting and sun light

Hello,

Should we leave the backlighting permanent to navigate them outdoors in the sun ? Because if I leave 15s as on edge 1030/1040... we no longer see anything on the screen after 15s, it's almost completely black because even the light is not on automatic, at the end of the backlighting time, the light drops to a minimum.

I have firmware 10.18

1030 and 1040 have a transflective LCD display, which needs no backlight in sunlight.

1050 has a transmissive LCD display, wich needs backlight - especially in sunlight.

For activities I‘ve set the backlight to „always on“ and „auto btightness“. Eats about 6% battery per hour.

Thanks for your answer. But on edge 1030, 1040 backlighting is 15s and no problem with sun...

On 1050 the light going down about few seconds in sunlight and screen is illegible.
