Riding with my Edge 1050, the voice guidance for turns is routed thru my phone’s speaker. Any way to route it to my earbuds?

Given the Edge 1050 now has a speaker I was surprised the voice instructions can't be played from the device itself.
The voice instructions are played from the device's speaker, but they are not very loud.
