Have you updated your varia Radar through garmin Express? They released a fix to resolve most of the connection issues.
Garmin support said their engineers can't/won't fix it even though I don't manually have to clear connection errors on Wahoo or Hammerhead head units.
This needs to be adressed asap.
Got much worse with RTL515 3.36 firmware.
Still had errors before, but not 20 times per ride, and have to touch the screen to get full view of it.
I know improvements are unlikely, but please stop breaking things.
It's still a problem for sure. I've emailed support multiple times and told them to increase the timeout of what's considered a "disconnect". It's really aggressive right now. The radar will disconnect and reconnect to Edge 1050 in less than half-a-second. Probably 1000ms-2000ms is a good number. What the firmware shouldn't do at all, ever is flash a modal error box up that requires me to physically touch the touchscreen to clear.
