How do I get WhatsApp notifications on my Garmin Edge 1050

I can get every other notification on my 1050 head unit bar WhatsApp , I have searched on the internet for the answer to no avail, is it that WhatsApp and Garmin don’t work together !

On your Edge goto home screen (or any other), swipe down to get the widget screen Status, press the phone icon (left from sounds), tap smart Notifications: enable Social Media.
