Do I need to purchase a new Silicone case?
io ho messo la custodia del 1040 sul 1050 e va bene
While the 1040 will "fit", the shape of the two units are different and the 1040 case does not fit well.
The 1050 is a somewhat different shape and slightly longer than the 1040. I suppose you might be able to stretch the 1040 silicon case over it, but it won't be a proper fit.
I stopped using my 1040 silicon case. When it rains it causes water to pool on the screen, resulting in phantom screen presses that changes things.
Use the power button "screen lock" when it's raining. It keeps rain water from appearing as a button push. You can still swipe to change screens but may need to unlock to clear a pop up. I've even had rain water edit a data screen before I started to use screen lock when it's raining.
Better yet, I can just not use the case at all, which is what I do. Locking and unlocking the screen is a bit too fussy. If I get a 1050 I won't bother buying a case.
Depends what you call "rain". I should have said rain drops. The drops are big enough to push the buttons.
I don't typically have a problem with rain if I'm not using a case for the 1040.
