Coming from an Edge 830, I am a bit puzzled with the sound settings. With my Edge 830 I was able to have the Edge system sound off but still got the alarm sound of my Varia radar. The settings for the Varia radar obviously "overrode" the Edge sound settings.
When trying to do the very same settings on my Edge 1050/Varia Radar combo, I can only have ALL sounds off (including the alarms from the radar) or all system sounds on that would then also include, e.g. navigation/routing alarms. Hence, here it seems that the Edge settings are oerriding the Varia sound settings.
Anyone any idea?
