Just a thought - could Garmin not add a menu option to flip the screen 180 degrees? the buttons would be at the wrong end, but not a major issue surely, and would allow folks to mount the unit in existing mounts until manufacturers catch up with slightly longer ones......

Just a suggestion. Those who has issue with 1050's mounting. Get one of those Ravemen light which mount under the 1050, in return this will.raise it a little higher and may clear your stem.
