Issues Syncing Recovery Data Between Garmin Edge 1050 and Fenix 7 Sapphire

I've been using a Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar alongside a Garmin Edge 1030 for a while now. My activities have always synced flawlessly between the two devices, allowing me to track my training readiness seamlessly.

However, I recently upgraded to the new Edge 1050. While my activities are still syncing between the devices, my recovery data is not transferring from the Edge to the Fenix. All other data from my activities seems to be pulling correctly, but this issue is throwing off my training readiness on my watch.

I've tried looking up solutions and discovered that, unlike with the Edge 1030, there doesn't seem to be a way to turn Physio TrueUp on or off on the Edge 1050. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

  • I have a similar problem My recovery timer on my 1050 shows zero hours but my watch shows 24 hours

  • I've yet to find a fix. I've heard from many with the same problem.

  • Same issue with an Epix Pro that shows 0 recovery and my 1050 that says 60 hours after a 70mile gravel race. This is a real bug/issue.

  • It is not only happening with recovey data, at least to me. It randomly changes, but for example I am facing this issue always with active calories, and sometimes with the intensity minutes. It is totally random, the data on my Edge is well recorded but when I get home and sync both Fenix and Edge with Connect, I just cross my fingers and wait to see what it wants to sync. Yesterday a 228 intensity minutes were recorded, and my Connect and Fenix only show 27. Seems a big bug, and it's happening for a while now I believe. Seems only the latest devices are facing this issue... really disapointing, I contacted garmin support like 5 times and there's no way they can give any solution. At least they should recognize the bug and tell they are working on it, but seems they are not aware of this disapointing issue... really disapointing

  • Check which devices are set as your, “Primary Training Device” and “Primary Wearable” in Garmin Connect - Settings - Device Priority,

  • Try disabling wifi on the Edge, and sync with the app only…?

  • Yes I already did that, and no changes. On Sunday I did something especial: I left my watch at home, and then when I came back, GC used and updated correctly, and afterwards both app and watch sync correctly. But I also did that once before and didn't sync well, so it seems it's totally random. What I can't understand is why it seems they are not able to fix that, this forum is plenty of people having same issue. And I am sure many other people has it as well, but they may not even look at this. Looks easy to fix

  • Will try that, nice point thanks
