Garmin Edge 1050 map not pointing in direction of travel when following a route

Hi, was wondering if anyone has had an issue with the direction of travel when following a course?1st ride with the 1050 today and I couldn’t get the navigation to follow the direction I was cycling in. I had the navigation setting to track up but still didn’t work. When the map zoomed in for a turn it would be in the correct direction. Cheers for any advice

When on the map page. Press the North triangle symbol on screen. This changes to track up and North.

I've had this experience a few times. In my cases I found the problem was somehow tied to the Course file I had downloaded onto my Garmin. I never found out why but, all the many other courses I have loaded had the direction traveling as up. (As I specified in the map navigation settings.

Cheers for that. It’s strange for sure. Don’t really understand why I would track in the correct direction on the Edge 1030 plus but not the Edge 1050.

hopefully it’s just the one course that has the issue.
