Navigation - automatic Zoom

Did the automatic zoom setting on the 1050 change? I have the feeling that even when enabled it often stays fixed. When approaching a turn it doesnt zoom in to 50m. It just stays fixed to like 120m or even 200m. Only time the setting changes the zoom if it is rerouting, but then it does zoom out even further to like 600 or 800m making the map even smaller. 
Anyone experience this?

    Garmin it's hard to tell more about this bug. Just accept that this feature doesn't work as intented.
    We pay a premium price and it would be nice to have AT LEAST basic functionallity. It would be nice if autozoom worked properly.

    Please do not ignore it this time.

    Mine never changes from my manual setting to a zoomed-in view so I can tell which turn in a course to take.  Many times, there are 3 and even 4 turns within 100 yards.  I know I must turn, but can't figure out which possible turn is the right one until passing it up.  This is especially when in the lead of 30-40 other riders.  Please, Garmin, tell us how to make it work.
