According to the Ride With GPS website, the new Garmin 1050 is compatible, but it doesn't show as an option in Connect IQ Store. is there a workaround to load WRGPS routes into the 1050?

I ran into the same thing. You dont need the IQ app. You link your account to GC. Your pinned routes will sync. If they are already pinned you have to unpin then pin again
Thanks. I had the RWGPS - Garmin Connect setup correctly, but it wouldn't work until I eventually unpaired the phone. Then I re-paired the phone to the 1050. After that, went to the RWGPS app and unpinned the routes, then re-pin them, force a sync and they show up.
I tried the unpin/re-pin recommended above and that didn't work for me. Here's what did work for me in case anyone else is having the same issue: open the route on the RWGPS phone app, hit 'save' and then select 'send to Garmin'. It then went to GC (I have the accounts linked) and it synched to my 1050 when I resynched GC with the phone. Before all that, I updated both the GC and RWGPS mobile apps to make sure I had the latest.
I use RideWithGPS. I just pin the routes in RideWithGPS and they sync to my 1050, via Garmin Connect. That has worked without issue since I got my 1050 mid-summer.
